A civil Marriage in Alderney may take place in the Registrar's Office (the Courthouse) or in a building licenced to hold wedding ceremonies [214kb] , which currently includes the Anne French Room at the Island Hall, The Braye Beach Hotel at Braye and The Georgian House in Victoria Street.
The ceremony can also be conducted in a private house provided that the Notice has been given by Special Licence. Marriages in Alderney cannot take place outdoors.
